Class description:
This is a special holiday version of Rock the Stencil! Make a holiday shirt that doesn't involve a bedazzler or hot glue! Uber cool retro holiday themed stencils will be provided, as well as yummy holiday drinks and snacks. Learn stenciling and save money on gifts this holiday season! Stenciling is super affordable and doesn't require gobs of time, which none of us have to spare around this time of year. Come join us!
In this class students will learn to create stencils on their own t-shirt or fabric. Students are welcome to bring images to create a stencil with but it isn't necessary. Jennifer, the teacher of this class, will bring various images for student use. Jennifer will also demonstrate how to render stencils on the computer. Each student will walk away with their own customized t-shirt or piece of fabric!
Special notes and items to bring:
Bring your own 100% cotton shirt or fabric. 100% cotton works best but a cotton/poly blend will do, shirts with ribbing (raised vertical lines) do NOT stencil well-
also recommend pillow cases, tote bags, plain or printed cotton fabric, jean jackets?
Optional: you may bring your own black and white image to use for stencil, keep in mind
you will be tracing the image so the simpler and cleaner the lines, the better.
-bring a cutting board/mat or a thick magazine to cut on

- DIY Lounge is located at collage, a locally owned business that sells art supplies with a class space in the back. We have two locations in the Portland, Oregon area.
Visit our locations page addresses and directions. - On average we require a minimum of 3 students to run a class. Class minimums are decided by teachers depending on the needs of the class. If registration is lower, the class will be cancelled and any students who have registered will be notified via email.
- If a class is cancelled we can apply your payment toward another class registration or refund your money in full. Your choice!
- Online pre-registration is required, but exceptions can be made on a case-by-case basis. If you require an exception, please use our contact page and let us know your situation.
- At least 48 hour notice is required if you need to cancel your class registration.
- Be sure to check the supply list provided in the class notes and bring those items with you to the class.
