Class description:
Enjoy the ancient art of working with melted beeswax by making beautiful, translucent collages with beeswax instead of glue! You will learn and practice a wide variety of techniques including layering objects like paper, thread, and fabric, transparency, and wax stamping.
Special notes and items to bring:
All supplies will be provided for two basic collages, but feel free to bring your favorite images, ephemera, thread and lightweight fabric as well to personalize your art! Any images you bring should be on regular computer paper - the thinner the better! Glossy photos won't work well with this process as well.

- DIY Lounge is located at collage, a locally owned business that sells art supplies with a class space in the back. We have two locations in the Portland, Oregon area.
Visit our locations page addresses and directions. - On average we require a minimum of 3 students to run a class. Class minimums are decided by teachers depending on the needs of the class. If registration is lower, the class will be cancelled and any students who have registered will be notified via email.
- If a class is cancelled we can apply your payment toward another class registration or refund your money in full. Your choice!
- Online pre-registration is required, but exceptions can be made on a case-by-case basis. If you require an exception, please use our contact page and let us know your situation.
- At least 48 hour notice is required if you need to cancel your class registration.
- Be sure to check the supply list provided in the class notes and bring those items with you to the class.
