Class description:
Be amazed by the craft that captivated you as a child! You know, the things you shrink in the oven! We are calling them shrinkie dinkies, but you know what they are. Join us for 2 hours of action packed shrinking as we make rings, earrings, and necklaces out of shrink plastic. This is a beginner level class, but it can easily be made more advanced. Come learn from Cathy, the instructor, she is an expert shrinker. She's been making them since the age of 6.
Special notes and items to bring:
Kids must be accompanied by an adult. Supplies included in the cost of class. Bring your own clip-art to trace.
Read this before you register
- DIY Lounge is located at collage, a locally owned business that sells art supplies with a class space in the back. We have two locations in the Portland, Oregon area.
Visit our locations page addresses and directions. - On average we require a minimum of 3 students to run a class. Class minimums are decided by teachers depending on the needs of the class. If registration is lower, the class will be cancelled and any students who have registered will be notified via email.
- If a class is cancelled we can apply your payment toward another class registration or refund your money in full. Your choice!
- Online pre-registration is required, but exceptions can be made on a case-by-case basis. If you require an exception, please use our contact page and let us know your situation.
- At least 48 hour notice is required if you need to cancel your class registration.
- Be sure to check the supply list provided in the class notes and bring those items with you to the class.
