Class description:
Don't leave your arms out in the cold! Make yourself some arm warmers. So very lovely, so very warm….oh so very Goth. Learn to just wing it with the yarn you want and make these necessary accessories for the coming winter. You will learn a basic wave pattern, how to adapt yarn of different gauges to fit and, if you are really daring, how to mix and match sparkle and flash with warm using novelty and wool yarns. This class is for novices and advanced knitters – it’s going to be fun and experimental so come with an open mind and get ready to oooh and ahhh over everyone’s combinations!

yarn (s) of choice – one 100g skein or 2 50g skeins
x1 skein of main color and type = wool, worsted, bulky, DK etc…this is your ‘foundation’
x1 skein of contrasting color and/or type = can be anything like mohair, alpaca, etc…
optional:
x1 skein novelty yarn – eyelash, sparkle, fluff, whatever…
don’t be shy – bring in lurex thread, etc…

- DIY Lounge is located at collage, a locally owned business that sells art supplies with a class space in the back. We have two locations in the Portland, Oregon area.
Visit our locations page addresses and directions. - On average we require a minimum of 3 students to run a class. Class minimums are decided by teachers depending on the needs of the class. If registration is lower, the class will be cancelled and any students who have registered will be notified via email.
- If a class is cancelled we can apply your payment toward another class registration or refund your money in full. Your choice!
- Online pre-registration is required, but exceptions can be made on a case-by-case basis. If you require an exception, please use our contact page and let us know your situation.
- At least 48 hour notice is required if you need to cancel your class registration.
- Be sure to check the supply list provided in the class notes and bring those items with you to the class.
