Janina Bain has recently moved to Portland from
Chicago. She founded and organized Chicago Women's
Arts & Crafts Collective (CWACC) in 2003. Craft
nights, craft days, workshops, clothes swaps, and
craft sales are all part of her repetoire. CWACC is
an all-women & trans-friendly group that meets in a
different ladies' home once a month. The collective
focuses on recycling, teaching, and ultimately
creating a self-sustainable crafting community.
Currently, Janina is starting her own crafty business
Earth Angel, selling handmade bags, altered clothing,
and more. She also works at a vintage clothing store,
plays music, draws, and makes video art.
